Lab Material on Quizzes
Comments made by two students reqarding the last quiz have prompted this reminder: "The material covered in the lectures and laboratories is perhaps the best indication of what is important in the course and what will be found on quizzes" (from the course information document) and "Lecture notes, labs and associated homework are primary indicators of important course content" (from the course overview lecture). Pay attention to the lecture notes, including the conclusions. Dividing up lab work is fine as long as you don't divide up knowledge. You are responsible for knowledge of observations made in the lab, conclusions drawn, Matlab calculations, etc.

Transfer Functions
Transfer functions, how they are obtained, how they relate to the characteristic equation of a system, and how frequency response is calculated using them will be covered on Quiz 4. A paragraph to this effect has been added to the outcomes statement for Quiz 4.
