Posted on 10/23/2006 Homework #5 Problem (e) of HW #5 is not well described. What you are to do is to find the value of maximum torque and corresponding slip frequency for case where the stator freqency is 150 Hz, assuming that field weakening begins at 60 Hz. Remember that to calculate the peak torque you have to set R2/S equal to the magnitude of the thevenin impedance looking back from the rotor of the machine.
