Begin thinking seriously (if you havent already) about your project. 
Write up a 1-page "project proposal" describing

	(a) what problem you plan to attack
	(b) how you plan to attack it
	(c) what are the relevant papers/references

The description of your project is due on Oct 30.
The project itself is due at the end of the semester.
